I love days like this! It's SO NICE out that I got to go outside with just a t-shirt and capri pants! WHOO HOO!!!

And I got all the grooming supplies out, 2 apples and set out to give the horses a good grooming.

They were both perfect angels! Even Miss Attitude! I didn't even have to halter her or use a lead and she let me give her a good brush down, pick her hooves, comb her mane and HER TAIL (which was a big mess of burrs). Didn't move an inch. :)

Norman was the same. He didn't appreciate me getting the few burrs out of his tail, but he managed through and I didn't have to tie him either.

Then after I was done grooming, they each enjoyed an apple for their great behavior.

It was just a really nice relaxing 45 min or so to spend with the horses with no anxiety, stress, or attitude.

It is REALLY nice out here too, its really wierd. We've had mid-high 70's all week, sunny and mild. Usually by this time of the year were in the 50's or 40's with snow and just plain ol' nasty weather.

But it looks like next Tuesday we'll get back on track for this time of the year, in the mid 50's with rain/snow.

I agree this weather is great. It never lasts long enough for me. It's the prettiest and best time of the year but so short lived. I've been trying to steal some time with the herd in this weather too!

I have found my time with the horses to be my "sane" time. I never realized how much I would talk to the animals until I had a home full of them. Glad you had a great day.

It's really a beautiful day, I've had the dogs outside a few times, they love it! Looks like it is going to remain nice for a few more days too! Woo hoo!

Lovesfortune, I'm glad you had a great day enjoying the weather. We didn't quite break 50 here today, but I got out for a short ride. Soon, this will seem like a balmy day! Saturday, we might see 60, but then it's going to start cooling down again- blech!

Boy guys.. That all sounds good. It was nice here too. I was cleaning earlier today..and then just put my sweater on and went to see Buck. I worked him some in the pasture and walked and talked to him for awile. I just love that time to relax my soul.
