Well as you all know i am moving to idaho.... now in only a couple days...( we are leaving saturday), but will only be gone until may. As you all knew before i was debating taking dreamer... my problem was my truck is only a 1500 2wd and my trailer is only a little 2 horse. i immediately ruled out hauling him myself as my truck is HORRIBLE in the snow, and the route is dangerous. i checked into professional hauling and professional haulers wont even go up that way from here from nov-feb, so that was ruled out too. Rather that risking my babies life by being selfish and trying the dangerous trip in the snow, i decided to leave him here since this is only short term.

Yall remember GEMS MOM????? and how she bought her farm last winter???

well anyway, on saturday i moved him out to her farm to be boarded.. we put him in her riding ring because the electric fence for some reason was not working all the way around and she was on midnights... anyway after she got home from work she turned him out with his new pasture mate who is a big black percheron named marty( makes dreamer look tiny). im moving his hay out tomorrow and will definately visit him too! hes doing swell. it will be a transition for him from going stalled at night to turned out all the time but i think he will like it in the long run, hes an easy going horse.... and even better.... shes going to ride him too while im gone so he will get pleanty of attention!WOOOOOHOOOOO! i will try to take pics of him out there tomorrow... it will definately be a transition for me too going from seeing him everyday to not seeing him at all for 4 mos, but this is only temporary and when we find out where we will live after the 4 mos( could be anywhere in the us) we will make the necc. arrangements to move him with us. He is DEFINATELY going to be with me for life, no questions asked!!!

i think they are looking for marty a home( 24 year old black percheron), retired carriage horse used downtown stl, i THINK he is a beginner horse anyone can ride. He was just being boarded out there but last i heard his owners are looking to place him. after/if marty leaves, dreamer will be turned out with her other horses.

My dad will be going out to see dreamer, i told my old barn owners they can go out and see him too if they ever want. Im just glad he will be used while im gone. Sara( gems mom) always has a bunch of friends over to ride... so hes one more horse for them to use( only sara or her husband will ride dreamer, and im getting personal liability insurance on him 1st of the year). i dont think they will have ANY problems with him.

anyway im moving to NAMPA IDAHO... right outside boise... anyone near by??? anyone got a horse i can ride while im there? i know ill be dying to!

Good luck with your move:)
As for hauling Dreamer there to Nampa probably is a better choice of leaving him home for the three months as it SUCKS with winter anyway (my opinion LOL) and the pass over Cheyenne/Laramie WY is usually pretty bad. After that, it's pretty much smooth sailing after that. A few mountains but nothing major but way too much for a half ton to take on.
There are lots of horse people up in that area so you shouldn't have too much problems finding someone to let you ride their horses.

Drive safe and enjoy, Idaho is a beautiful state. If you get a chance head up to McCall for the ice sculptures.

Sounds like you've planned everything out well, and have Dreamer's best interests at heart.

Have a safe trip!

ya i know sara( gem's mom) will take AWESOME care of him... it will be good for him to be rode by someone other than me too:-) hes definately a lifer horse so no one worry about me EVER EVER EVER selling him( and the bf knows that too... he knows if it EVER comes to me chosing between him and dreamz, dreamer wins, thats VERY clear)

I am sorry that you have to leave Dreamer behind but it sounds like everything is going to work out. # months go by so fast you won't even know it. Have a safe trip to Idaho. Take plenty of pics of Dreamer before you leave.
