Daylight savings time this weekend. Its time to get those after school/work rides in, before it starts getting dark at like 5:00.
We've had amazing and uncharacteristically nice for this time of year weather. Mid 70's, sunny and mild. Perfect riding weather! I'm going to try to get out this afternoon and ride and really enjoy it!
At least we've got lighted arenas and an indoor with lighting/heat for when the days get too short.
How do you all get your riding in with the short, cold days ahead?

Don't remind me, bleck. I still ride after work in the winter, that's what arena lights are for! But, I always feel like it's getting really late and that I need to hurry and then I'll look at my watch and it's only 7:30pm.
It would be awsome to have a heated arena when it gets cold out, you're lucky. I just suck it up and ride in the cold or, if it's to cold then I just turn the horses out and play with them on the ground.

Ugh, I hate that its getting dark sooner! I ususaly go riding around 5-ish, and by the time I saddle Chrissy up, lunge her and actualy get on, I only have like 1/2 an hour of light left, so I end up riding/cleaning up in the dark, and there aren't any lights. I will be moving Chrissy though, so I have an indoor to ride in for the winter.

Since I freeze after 10-15 minutes, I pretty much can squeeze a ride in anytime. Especially since I'm pretty much restricted to riding in the yard and the driveway when the snow gets too deep.

I can set up my own work schedule on Tues, Thurs, and Fri--so I can arrange to get a ride in at 3 or so.
