I used to stay logged in all the time. But the past few days it logs me out about every 20 minutes...I only have to put in my username and it remembers my password but is this something with the forum or my computer????

Did you click the 'remember me' when you log in?

I click it every time :headscratch: It used to work but now all of the sudden it doesn't.

It's possible that your cookie might have gotten corrupted somehow. Try clearing your cookies and see if that takes care of it.

hrm kk! this is a new computer (laptop) and it's a bit finicky. I'll have to clean out the cookies and see if that works :)

Mine signs me out everyday. In my case it's a firefox flaw. IT signs me out of EVERYTHING. Very annoying.

Well, that's good to know! I just started using Firefox and there for a while It kept signing me out too but with in a few minutes while I was still surfing the forum...I cleaned out my cookies, resigned in, checked the remember me box and I've stayed logged in for a few days now. I'm glad I read this thread and learned it's firefox that's doing it, I was starting to wonder what was going on but everything seems back to normal now and I'm staying logged in.
Maybe try updating your firefox? The version I'm using seems to be working fine now after that initial cookies clean out.

We use firefox here and I've been logged in since getting this computer a month ago.... and months on end before that with my old computer. It shouldn't necessarily be a limitation of firefox that you don't stay logged in. But it might be something in your settings that can be tweaked.

It's not the site, it's Mozilla. Check "remember me" when you log in and you should stay logged in until you log yourself out.

Check your settings... that sounds like you need to check the box somewhere that says "check for updates every time page is loaded"

That doesn't work for me. My computer logs me out everytime I shut firefox down. I've checked every setting, googled the problem, spoken with the firefox tech help, went to tech forums. . nothing. I can't figure out why it's doing it and it is ANNOYING! But on the positive side, the site remembers my password for me so I don't have to type anything but an E in the first box, then hit tab and sign in. .

I have Firefox but just in the last few days has this site been logging me off. Never has happened before. And doesn't happen on any of the other places I go using Firefox.

I have Firefox but just in the last few days has this site been logging me off. Do you have an anti virus or Malware program that runs periodically on a schedule. It might be clearing cookies. This is also possible when you upgrade firefox versions, it might clear cookies. Also check firefox Tools/Options/Privacy tab, what is your setting there ? Does it say it will remember cookies ? Or customized ?
See how-to-clear-cookies-from-firefox-35.html (http://www.corenetworkz.com/2009/09/how-to-clear-cookies-from-firefox-35.html)
One other thought, there are 'add-ons' that can affect 1 site, you don't have one of those installed do you ? I'm running the latest versions and am not having this problem.
