Ugh I hate fireworks. We didn't want to be awake at midnight, but all the neighbors conspired against us. Instead, we were up, listening to three dogs bark, trying to coax Jack the cat, who didn't come in by dark like he should have, into the house between fireworks all evening long. He didn't come in till things settled down long after midnight.

I'm watching the Tournament of Roses Parade.....I never miss that!
Stayed up till about 1:00 reading a book last night, altho I did watch Dick Clark
at Midnight, can't really miss that, it's tradition!

Happy new year everyone. I just got home from a night at a hotel with a bunch of coworkers. We have made this an annual event now. I'm looking forward to a much nicer year in 2010.

Happy New Yr, our night was beyond exciting, I think I went to bed at 2 a.m.. I was looking at Real Estate in VT since I am really wanting to get out of PA and be off to VT. I found a few prospects. When I was done there I was then e-mailing a friend who lives in VT asking what she charges for board in case we can't find a place with property. It's only a dream anyway but that's what I was doing. We had Dick Clark on too and had to drag Puppy out of her crate to say Happy New Yr, the cats were ready to party but she kept putting herself to bed she was so tired, she's exhausted today you'd think she partied all night!!!! I don't know how we can get any more exciting!

Hope 2010 is a good yr. I really hope it's better than 2009 for so many of us.

We are RAINing in the new year here in the Pacific NW, not RINGing it in!

Enjoying a slow day, got the last horse trimmed and shod this morning (my poor boyfriend now has 4 ponies to shoe on my account:innocent:), drinking tomato soup for lunch and planning to watch movies this afternoon. The lady at the little community general store here didn't charge me for the movie rentals. That's the great part of a small community!

Well I hope everyone is having a better start to 2010! I'm stuck in bed with food poisoning. I worked wed night and after eating around 1am I started feeling nauseous. By 3 I was dizzy and had horrible stomach cramps. By 4 I was throwing up. And by 5 I had horrible diarrhea. Of course this happens when my truck is in the shop, and I have hubby's. So I had to call him, and get him to wake up the neighbors to drive him into town to get me. I'm on the up turn of things. I'm able to keep down clear broth soup and crackers, so I think I'm about to try an egg and toast. But this was the most terrible experience of my life. I've never been so miserable!

On the up side... WAR EAGLE! That was an interesting game! And a very hard game to watch in my weakened condition. I screamed and pumped my fist in the air at the first interception and almost passed out! But a win is a win, and we'll take it!

Hopefully I can make it out of the house tomorrow, but for now I'll be ringing in the new year in bed! Hope everyone else has a better new year!
