This is the Wykoff trail ride in MN. It is during MEA and me and my friend went. We got there Friday at noon and left sunday at 2pm. There were about 270 riders, a lot of trailers. Friday night they had a DJ and Sat morn they fed us, We packed our lunch and they carried us to our rest spot. We went on a 5hr ride. They fed us an awsome supper with baked potato, salad, meat and corn. Then a costume party and a band. Next morning we got egg bake and off to another 2.5hr ride. All for $50.00. I am going next year. Here is some photos of me and Dolly and the ride.

MEA is Minnesota Education Association. The teachers get to meet I think in the Twin Cities, and attend seminars, while the kids get a 4 day weekend.

By the way, How does Dolly look? She is 17/18 now. Her stools are a lot better. She is now on yeast culture for the rest of her life. When I took her off of it she got loose stools again.

Ooh.. I asked hubby and he said that if we get a trailer it sounds "do-able". How do I get more info on it? Is it open to anyone?

Dolly looks great, and you do too! That sounds like so much fun, I need to get Ness trained and I need a trailer! Trailriding is my favorite thing in the world to do. I am just north of Eau Claire too......about 12 miles north. Sure is pretty country there!

Wonderful photos!!!!!!! What a trail ride!!! I've only ever been on one official trail ride and it's been at least 12 years. It must be fun. My problem was I have to use a mounting block on Sterling (she's tall and my knees suck) so I was always afraid to get off at the rest spots. Of course now that I trail ride so much I can generally find a small hole and hop back on. . .I really want to go on a big trail ride!!!!!!! I wish we could all get a forum trail ride together but I think the world is just too big to pick a spot. Sigh.

Equine women, you do not have to worry about getting back on. There is always a nice, good looking gentle men always willing to give you a boost.;)
It was great and no one got hurt.

Nice post FW. I bought my trailer from Denny's too! Whenever I see him he asks if I am coming to the ride. They come up and ride the Zumbro Bottoms trail a couple times a year. The ride is at a bad time of year for me so it will probably be a few years before I make it there.

WoW! Alot of people! Sure looks like fun! Did it go "without incident" with all those people? I love your pink tack--you both look so pretty!

Only one person got bucked off going up hill. But everyone was ok. It was a lot of people. I stayed up front because it rained a little on Friday and I wanted to make sure that I was up and down hills first before all those riders so it was not slick.

That looks like a lot of fun. It is always interesting to see a big bunch of riders and their horses. Congrats on the new trailer.
