Mother-in-law had a stroke

Please say a prayer for my mother-in-law who just had a stroke.
We were all at the farm (where she lives) and me, my husband, and newphew went snowmobiling. We left the kids with grandma. My sister in law left at 6:15pm and we headed out. We got back about 8:45 and my 8yr old said that something is wrong with grandma. She is mumbling and she wont talk and she just cries. I go upstairs to check and talk to her and she is not talking and her face is droppy. I knew right away it was a stroke. I called my hubby up and said we need to get mom to the hospital, she had a stoke. So we did and hopefully we caught it in time.

I felt guilty for going snowmobiling and leaving the kids but I think it might of saved her. If all of us would of left, then she would of been home alone and been there all night by herself. (Dad just died in Oct).
My 8yr old did real good and held grandma's hand.
They airlifted her to Rochester to do a MRI.
So Please say a prayer.

Oh no, I hope she is going to be OK. That is good you caught it early on tho, catching a stroke early like that is everything. Your 8 year old is a little hero!

My 8yr old can be a stinker but she has a big heart. While we were gone she held grandmas hand while grandma cried. I have to teach my children when to call 911. They know in a emergancy but in a case like this, it would of been hard to know.

Oh no. I'm so sorry. Don't feel bad. She was lucky to have you there.

My grandma lived alone when she got a stroke. She fell and couldn't move for 8 hours until someone found her. She lived, but half of her body was permanently paralized.

Well we found out that is was a major stroke. The next two days will tell if what is going on. she has swelling around the brain and waiting for that to go down. If that does I think we are out of the woods. Keep the prayers coming.

Now the Dr are saying it was not a minor stroke. She has swelling on the brain and we are hoping that goes down. The next 2 days will let us know. So she is not out of the woods yet. So keep the prayers coming.
