As if you had to ask :)

So I haven't been busy, I'm sorry, exmas + commissions + stuff = no forum for Kittysawrus :'( AND no riding today because of the snow, so I've been horsily deprived...however...
On Boxing Day I was allowed out of the house (thank goodness, Gma had the heating cranked up to something horrendous!) and up onto the fells/moors on a walk with my parentals.

Occasionally on the Waldridge Fells they get some Exmoor ponies in to graze the land down a bit. Mum and Dasd are up ther more than me (I usually have to stop in and revise for some exam), but that night I was out AND THERE WERE SOME :D

So naturally I thought of you guys and your thirst for ponies and British scenery ;)

Without further ado...captions below...

That is cool. Are they protected? And do local famers have trouble with them?

Thanks for your replies, everybody :)

Suzi - yes, I believe they're protected. They graze on protected land - it's wetland, specifically for amphibious wildlife, rare breed birds etc. The whole of the Waldridge Fells I think is protected. I've never heard about them getting out to the neighborouing farmland, I don't think the farmers have any trouble. We're all pertty horsey up here so a lot of the area is criscrossed with bridle paths too.

Miatapony and Oursarge - I agree, I will only start sending them over once I've wrangled one myself ;) if it wasn't so cold I'd pull a Monty Roberts and spend some time watching them!!
