Well my boyfriend is in the army and I miss him like crazy. I did get some pics to send him though. :) But I am scared about it. There is a age difference of 3 years. But we have dated in the past. Didnt work because we both had to grow up but were back together and he only left today. :( I miss him like crazy already. I need ideas to get my head off of him. Help and sorry for venting yet again

I've been there. My husband left for the army right out of High School. We never broke up and he was gone for 3 years in Germany. Just take it one day at a time. It's hard when they leave but you get used to it. Focus on your own life and your horses and other friends and time will go quickly.

What EW said. Also, just finding even small things to keep you busy will help. Find some longer projects to do, so you have goals to work toward, too. That breaks the time down into smaller increments.

I had a friend in H.S. whose boyfriend joined the Army. What they did was each got a notebook and everyday they wrote a page in it. Just what they had done that day, they missed each other, what they were planning on doing on the days off, dreams for the future, etc. Just mundane stuff that they would normally talk about everyday anyway but couldn't with him gone. They of course wrote letters to each other too but the notebook was like a diary and they were able to write stuff down before they forgot it in the letters. Then when he would come home for vacation (once a year) they would trade notebooks and start a new one. They did this for the 3 years till she graduated and moved to where he was stationed and got married. They liked getting letters from each other but they liked the diary feel of the notebooks and the 'letters' were contained and easier to keep track of.
