It snowed here all day Wednesday and by Thursday we had about 6 inches. I took Dakota out to play in the snow for the first time this season. It was so fun! He was hyper and tossing his head, had his tail up in the air, and every now and then he'd throw a little hoppy buck just for the fun of it.:p (Just FYI- he only does that--head tossing, little bucks, etc--when he's excited, pumped up, and giving a bit of attitude. It's not the bit, his teeth were just checked by the vet, and I wasn't on his mouth- lol, half the time I wasn't even holding the reins:innocent:. So point is- it's not a pain issue.:))
I love it when he's like that.:D We had an awesome ride, bareback of course. xD I actually got my brother to film me for a little while!:eek:
Anyway, some of the footage is from last week, and some from Thursday. It's so good to be riding him again and to be able to lope him! (in the last video of him that I showed you guys we were still in Take it Easy mode) His leg is doing great, by the way. He's never been happier.:)
I've been working on this video for a LONG time.. the music really gave me a hard time and WMM was not being overly cooperative.:rolleyes: So bare with me. But I actually do really like this video. I think you guys will too.:) Hope so anyway.:D

Oh, just so you know- around 5:08-5:16ish when he takes a few steps- if he looks a little stiff there it's because he just stood up. He'd been laying down napping, and whenever he stands up after staying down for too long he's a little stiff until he starts moving around. No big deal. It's just part of being 19 I guess. I promise he is fine after he walks around a little and gets loosened up.:)
I have a million pictures that I took of the first snow, the horses in their blankies, the goats, etc... fortunately for you guys I'm tired and ready for bed so I won't post them and bore you all to tears.:p
