I don't know if this has been discussed or not.
I had heard all the hopla about the Twilight movie. So I finally rented it. I absolutely LOVED it! I was in a haze for 2 days after watching it. :innocent:
Maybe it's the hopeless romantic in me? Hubby is not the romantic type, :( so movies like this REALLY get to me. The kids and I had to watch it 2 more times before I took the movie back. Now I have to go buy it! OH, and hubby absolutely hated to movie... go figure.
I can't wait till New Moon comes out on DVD!

I am obscessed with the whole Twilight Saga.:D I've read and own all the books, own the movie Twilight, and saw New Moon in theaters twice. I have a New Moon calander, a Jacob poster, and four Twilight/New Moon t-shirts. I'm addicted.:innocent:

Oh I know. I kept wondering what all the hype was about that movie. Ya, so what, weve seen enough vampire movies in our day, whats one more. Well, I sure was wrong. I loved Twilight and cant wait to see New Moon!!!

Add me to the club. I feel kind ridiculous since I'm older.. but oh well. I also love Edward.
CG, if you like to read, start reading the books - WAY better than the movies - and I loved the movies!!

nooooooo :( Read the books first! Pleaseeeeeeee it's so much better. Although you've already seen the first movie they've set the characters for you. :( The books are 10000000 times better!

I liked Twilight, New Moon was way better though. But when it comes right down to it the books are awesome! There is no comparison between the books and the movies. If you haven't yet, read the books!!!

I loved the books, the people in the movies were a disappointment (except Jacob, could he GET any hotter? Jeez I feel creepy saying that!) because they were all made out to be godlike in looks, and I thought the actors were sub par looking...but I loved the movies anyway, the books were just better!

Read the books! I'm a HUGE fan of the movies, but an even bigger fan of the books. They are 100000000x better.
Since you asked, I am not. :p

They are so amazing! New Moon is even better, but that was my favorite book, so I'm a sucker for it lol. Plus, I'm 100% Team Jacob, and Taylor Lautner shirtless is just...-drool-

I don't like the author's writing style and I thought the books were poorly written, but the whole theme and plot was so good that I couldn't put them down. I watched both the movies. I didn't care for Twilight at all, but I liked New Moon. I think the thing that bugs me most about the movies is that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have no chemistry at all and they always look so awkward and forced together. They're also not very good actors. Taylor Lautner did a good job I thought. He's a pretty good actor. Actually, everyone else did a good job, I thought, just not the two leading roles. I think if you didn't read the books the movies would seem better than they actually are.

Loved the books! Read them all in 2 weeks. :D Twilight the movie wasn't really great, IMO. It wasn't as along the lines with the book as New Moon is. Kinda like the director did his own thing with Twilight but decided to tone it down and go with the book with New Moon. I'm not a big fan of Rob. He doesn't do Edward justice, IMO. I guess he does have the sullen vampire look but I imagined Edward to be this hunky guy with nice hair and all.. Rob has had some serious hair issues. Have you seen all of his different hair styles? It's like he fixes it in the dark or maybe he just doesn't own a mirror. He is getting better though. :)
I love Edward in the books. But in the movies, Jacob steals the show. (Might have to do with the fact that Taylor is totally hot) :innocent:

I agree. Edward seems like kind of a jerk in the movies and not even remotely as romantic as he was in the books. He's so angsty in the movies. It's lame. Taylor did a really good job playing Jacob and made him a likable character, but Rob failed epically.

I agree. :) The movies aren't bad, but the books are 900000000 times better.

Ditto. Though the only thing that could make them better would be to have Jacob pictures XD I love Taylor Lautner, if I hadn't mentioned that before lol. He's such an amazing actor, and he can soooo get away with being half dressed all the time XD

That's because they had different directors. :innocent:

I dunno, he just didn't do it for me. His hair in the movie was better than I've seen it. You can google images of his different hair styles. Some of them are just down right stupid looking to me.
That's because they had different directors. :innocent:
I didn't know that! Lol, I was distracted by other things. :innocent: :o

hahahahaha! Yeah they fired the first director and got someone else for New Moon. The first director's movies all seem to be the same, real choppy and then rush at the end so they should have known better!

That was another reason I didn't really like the way they did Twilight. Ah well. Major improvement with the new director! :)

Go by yourself... I used to all the time and still do if it's a movie I REALLY want to see and don't want to put up with people talking to me during it.

Yeah I read the books before I ever saw Twilight and I'm glad, not only because the books are way better but because I think it would have been a harder movie to like if I didn't know the story so well. My favourite book is Eclipse so I'm looking forward to the next movie.
I'm one of those people that does not get the fuss about Taylor Lautner. I actually love book Jacob but not so much movie Jacob.
And I'm a Kristen Stewart fan - everyone I talk to seems to think she's a bad, disengaged actress but I love her. I think her and Robert are really good together, I just wish there was more time for character development in the films like in the books.

I love the entire Twilight Series! I've read all the books, except the last 200 pgs or so of Breaking Dawn and I'm in the process of finishing it. I've watched Twilight about 15-20 times probably, and I've seen New Moon in the theaters 4 times and I'm hoping to go atleast once more before it goes out of our local theater.
Can't wait for it to come on DVD!
I orginally hated all the hoopla over Twilight and didn't know what everyone saw in it or Edward. It was like Harry Potter in a since to me, with the way people made over it. And I hated Harry Potter.
Then my sister had a friend at work tell her how good it was, so she(sis) rented it and watched it. She told me she loved it and I would, so I needed to watch it. I watched it and well...the rest is history. I already knew not to judge a book(or movie) by it's cover, or in this case the people making a huge deal over it and the fact it was based around vampires, but I judged this movie and regret I ever did. lol :p I'm not into the vampires, or witches, goblins and things, lol :p, but when I watched this I realized it wasn't about the old style vampires I'm used to thinking of. It was a different kind of vampire. A cool kind of vampire, that you didn't really consider "Vampires" IMO, hehe. :p
I don't think I'll never judge another movie just by the hype surrounding it, or the fact it has vampires in it.
CG, I think I'm gonna get you one of those shirts that says "Twilight Mom". lol :p

Oh my husband would just LOVE that....not! LOL :hysterical:
I bought the Twilight DVD today, he rolled his eyes and said.. "We are NOT watching that tonight!" Well OK, it's the Fiesta Bowl, so I let him watch his football tonight, but I am watching Twilight tomorrow. :innocent:
I liked Edward. At first I wasn't so sure about him, but I have always been attracted to the quiet, rugged types. :innocent: Of course they always got me in trouble till I met my husband. Edward had this aura about him that kept me facsinated. And I do like his hair in Twilight. I like the sideburns... LOL Jakob has too much of a baby face for me.
I also bought the first two books in the series, so going to start reading those this week.
