fell off Dance last night..

Yeah, last night was my first fall off of Dance in two years. And I will say it was quite the fall. Instead of doing a serious lesson Me and all the four of the other barn girls did games, like bobbing for apples, egg and spoon, mint jewel up[sp] and a few other games out trainer made up. Everything was going good, until mint jewelup and I asked Dance to come from a canter to a halt, she decided she didn't like that idea and started bucking. And then she took off I ended up loosing my balance and I knew I was coming off. Our arena has walls that are only like 5 feet tall so I thought forsure I was going right over since dance was right up against the rail. So I grabbed the wall to stop myself from going over it and that caused me to land on my head :( and instanly I had a massive headache. After I landed on my head I did like a somersalt[sp] and then once I was stationary on the ground I crawled to the wall so I could sit up. I'm glad nothing worse happened to me .. My heads still a little sore and my back has a ton of scrapes on it and so does my leg and it hurts to walk but that's it nothing too bad.. Just thought I'd share my not so wonderful expierence with you all! :)

I am glad you didn't get hurt worse.. Take it easy today cause you will probably be even more sore and be careful.

Glad you weren't hurt worse. Hope you don't feel too sore as the day goes on. Take some ibuprofen and move slow. :)

Thanks guys .. Yeah I'm walking slow and stuff and going up and down stairs takes me forever hopefuly it'll get better as the day goes on and ill be able to ride

Isn't it the worst feeling to know that you are falling off? I too hit my head after falling off, but I just blacked out, I didn't really even have a head ache. I hope you feel better soon!

I hit my head the last time I fell off too (well, didn't exactly "fall" off- Beauty helped.:rolleyes:). Actually the last two times- I fell off three times in a row one day.:rolleyes::innocent:

Thanks everyone :) I decided not to ride today and just hang out at the barn and groom and give Dance treats. I was looking at my leg and I have a hoof print shaped bruis, so unless its a coincidence[sp] I think Dance might have lightly stepped on me on her way by me on the ground :p I'm not sure though, as long as nothings broken and I don't need crutches, I'm not complaining haha
