Lol, I don't normally go 'virtual' horse shopping but every now and then I like to put Sterling's sire in the search and look for horses for sale with him in their pedigree. I just happened to find a horse I want now. . . good thing he is in Missouri. . .or I'd be headed to the bank today. ..

Anyways, in lieu of that I thought I'd share with you guys and pout.

This gelding is a 15'2 Arabian who is a grandson of Sterling's sire, Questing Phar. He was born in 02 and looks like he's a nice mover. Has 2 months western training (lol) but prefers english. . (makes me think maybe his owners prefer english) He looks like he'd make an AWESOME endurance horse. . . he's actually in my price range but we don't need a new horse right now. . at least not for me! I need a nice husband safe horse and I don't think Mr. Slyder (http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/index.php?query_type=horse&h=SLYDER&g=5&cellpadding=0&small_font=1&l=) is husband safe just yet. . . but oh he's gorgeous!!

Here's the owner's website (http://www.acorn-arabians.com/Sales.html)!

Here is a video of him at liberty. . .

So anyways. I wish I was headed to get him with my trailer. . .but I'm not. . .

Anyone else been virtual horse shopping lately? We can all pout together.

Like him too, but you're right, he's probably not ready for the hubby or the kids yet :)

I'm always virtual shopping :) Good idea for a new thread though...find your horse's siblings!

I know right? Bummer. But boy I bet he'd be a speedy leadline horse. . . .

You know what the flaw in that is, though. I'd say he's not ready because he's only got 60 days training, if I read you right, not because he snorts and blows at liberty.

If I walked out in the pasture with a bag on a string, my old 28 year old wouldn't touch the ground much either... it's what they do. It's their sport. Put the bag away, and hubby-training horse returns.

Absolutely!! And the fact that's he's young still. Nothing at all to do with his gorgeousness at liberty!! That's how any arabian should be at liberty! You can tell alot about his training by watching him when the man is quiet. He's looking for the moment he can come to him. He's not a bit wild. . .just showing off.

Boy that's a good way to get a horse killed! Besides I only want them to move off when I tell them too. . . not because the devil is chasing them!

I think he's a beautiful horse (so is the bay horse that they have for sale too!!!!)
It looks like he's still in training. As for the bag, yeah I would run to from it because that is the way they are conditioned to it.
This is how I condition mine to the bag;

I know right? Lol. . . Cause one horse in training is just never enough!! They are like potato chips!! He is a gorgeous horse and would LOVE to have another with Questing Phar on their papers. . . I mean Sterling is husband safe. . . so why do I need two husband safe horses? For that matter Sunny is HIS horse. . . she's almost husband safe. . . lol
