Procedure prep today..

Tomorrow I have my colonoscopy (bleh) and so that means today is prep day. I don't have to take any of the medicine until noon, then I'll be off for a few hours. This is going to suck. But the worst part is, it's only 8:30 in the morning and I already want food! Normally I never eat breakfast, but my aunt came over last night and made the most amazing cookies, and I can hear them calling me now :( I'm so hungry, but I don't want to waste the little bit of stuff I can have right now. This is the absolute worst time too, because my period started last night and its going to be sooo great tomorrow, and today. I'd like to just crawl in a hole and die. Ugh.

You can eat plain foods even jello just not the red stuff. Just think.. the less you eat the less that has to come out... Good luck!

I can relate..... I just went thru that last week. Had a colonoscopy, and did the prep. I ate a lot of orange jello, at least it was something solid.....so gobble down some jello! You cannot have any foods at all, only jello, so stock up on that, and broth and clear liquids.

I have to start taking the prep liquid in a few minutes. Ugh! Mom says I'm never going to want to drink Propel again when I'm done with this, because the doctor told us to mix it with Propel. Icky!! Maybe I'll have Mom make some jello when she gets home, but my hunger has pretty much passed now. I'm draining a gallon of green tea, and that's helping. But it sure makes me have to go pee alot!

Ugh I'm so ready for this to be done! I hate Propel now, Mom was right, and I've still got more to take. All this drinking is filling me up and making me want to puke.

Hang in there, the worst part is almost over.... the prep is the worst part. I've had three colonoscopies, so I sure know it's no fun. But, you are almost done!

blech.... that drink.... first time I took it I had to plug my nose to aviod the taste...lol. Second time I had a colonoscopy I only got about half of it down....still did the trick tho. Last week they gave me a different prep, magnesium citrate, smaller bottle (10 oz.), sort of like nasty salty-tasting Sprite...... I got it all slammed down.... but had to do it in about three segments....lol. And then I waited, and waited.....for the results... was thinking I could just go relax and get comfortable and watch TV..... all I can say is when it kicks in make sure you've got your running shoes on....lol...

It went fine, nothing's wrong, which I figured would be the results. Ugh. All that for nothing. But yeah, I'm really tired. Going to take a nap with my puppy now :]

That's good news! And great idea to curl up and take a snoozer with your puppy, my dogs love to keep me company when I'm taking a nap. Even my rabbit hops underneath my bed and he snoozes with us.....lol.
