I had my first lesson of the semester today and got to ride the most adorable black and white paint pony, Snoopy (Project Won Way...). We used him in our IHSA show earlier this semester and he went to Marshall and Sterling Finals with my trainer from back home this past year. He's super awesome, but used to packing around little kids and isn't too happy with people who know what they're doing being on his back... He's very testy. At one point he was throwing a tantrum and tripped himself and fell down to his knees. I just worked on keeping him quiet and moving forward. Over fences he is amazing. Doesn;t have a bit of stop in him and will take any distance you ask for. We we're doing 3'6 courses and he was just flying. So much fun!
I didn't get any pics, but I did one kind of better! My trainer told me there was a video of him and the kid who leased him and took him to M&S Finals this year that showed what a saint he is. She put in a terrible ride and jumped on his neck the whole time and he didn't dump her. They crashed through some stuff and apparently he came back with a stifle injury because of it. Unfrtunately, that video is gone, but the girl went and made an inspirational video out of it! Mostly pics, but several clips of the crashes and refusals. I can't believe after some of it this pony still jumps with no questions asked the way he does. Absolute saint. It is publicly posted though, so hopefully it will work.
