Some of you will remember my cousin I've posted about in the past (http://www.baywindfarm.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5793). She passed away last year (2-25-09), she was 23. She had fought a long hard battle with Congestive Heart Failure, a heart transplant, and coronary aterty disease. Well today would have been her 24 birthday! She was such a sweet and amazing young lady, who touched so many lives! He mom and siblings stayed up until midnight to wish her happy birthday messages on her facebook page. That page has been a great outlet for greif and for lifting the spirits with stories of old times. I spoke with my aunt (her mother) breifly around midnight, and she's having a very rough time. This was her youngest child and her only daughter! My aunt asked me if I thought they had Birthday parties in heaven! I assured her she would have a wonderful party with pizza and chicken fingers, her favorite foods! My family back home are all going out to her favorite pizzaria tonight in her honor! Guess I'll have to eat me some chick fil a for her!
So if you have a moment send a prayer up for my family! It's been a rough year without her, the holidays were the hardest, and now it's her birthday!
We miss you Ann Noble!
She looks sweet, just as you described, AU. My prayers for comfort are going to your family today.

Sorry about your cousin, but I think you and your family have chosen to honor her memory is fantastic. Remember her and not mourning her is probably the way she would want things to be.

I lost a nephew, a niece and my dad in 2007. Sometimes I still get very sad but most of the time I can remember the joy they brought, especially my niece, to everyone around them. I will always miss them. It does get better.
Honoring your cousin the way your family is doing is a wonderful thing. Prayers for all of you.

Sending prayers. Having a dinner in her honor on her birthday is a GREAT tradition. When my husband's uncle died suddenly it was very hard for our family. The first year we did something on the day he died. This year his wife and their children decided to do it on his birthday in honor of his life - not his death. We are going to do it every year. We went to a bar/restaurant and then afterwards those that wanted to go to the cemetery did.
And I'm sure Heaven is more than we could ever imagine. :)

I'm so sorry again for your loss. Grief sometimes feels like waves. .. it subsides just to roll back in again and can knock you over. I'm glad you have your family to draw strength from. I'll be thinking of you guys today!
