Just like clockwork, every fall, we end up with a stray cat or kitten.
Last year, my farrier took an adult male off our hands, but this year, a little 3-4 month old female kitten came wandering in the yard about 2 weeks ago and stayed.
I think I'm stuck with another cat, including the vet bills-grrrrr! She's pretty much adopted me, lol! Couldn't care less one way or the other about my SO- figures!
Don't get me wrong- I love cats, but I've got 3-no wait- 4 now, and he's got one!
I finally introduced her to the house today- she's already interacted with the other cats outside, and so far, it's been no biggie.
Guess I'll have to make an appointment soon to get her shots and FeLeuk test done, lol!
Okay, enough rambling! Here's Chance!
It was hard to get pics of her at first- every time I would go outside, she would come running up to me.

She finally spotted a squirrel in a tree, and settled down long enough for me to get these:

Does she look like part Maine Coon to anyone? Or am I seeing things?

:DI can dream! The way she's acting right now, kicked back on a kitchen chair without a care in the world, this is probably what she'd do with a mouse! Great entertainment while she watches from her chair! I'm waiting for Sabrina to discover that Chance has stolen her chair!

Oh she's beautiful! That's the kind of kitty I started out looking for, a fuzzy black or black and white but then Molly captured my heart. She really is a beauty! Wonder if she's better behaved than Molly? Molly is a rip, so funny. I think I got my cat Misty back in the form of Molly, she even rips paper like Misty did!
Good luck with your new baby!

Oursarge- now that she's in the house, she's pretty kicked back, yet she likes to play, too. I discovered that the hard way when I was rubbing her belly, and she decided to play what we call "grabbity"- meaning she reaches out and grabs hold of your arm, hand, or whatever else she can get her paws on, lol!
Side note: Chance is now fast asleep in said kitchen chair, lol!

I'd say very Ted-like-ish, so I reckon part Maine Coon. Or something furry :)
She looks BEAUTIFUL, and SO CUTE! Such big paws for such a tiny baby :D
If you keep picking up these cats, GR, you're gonna turn into one of them cat ladies :p then we'll start earing more about them than Gypsy :O
Hope the vetchck comes back all clear!

He,he! I know! just so long as I don't catch up with WB in too many kittens at once, lol!
I'm probably going to make sure she's good and settled in, then make the appointment. Don't want to traumatize the poor thing- yeah, right! Miss laid back!
PoniesRock: Chance stuck her nose in the living room where Sabrina was a while ago, and Sabrina growled at her, like, "Gah! Not another one- go away!"
So far as her age, everyone, I'm just going on an educated guess, based on her size- I'm no good with the teeth. If anyone thinks I'm off base on her age, let me know, though I'm sure it's hard to tell from those pics.

Gee, thanks, WB!:D She sure is a little sweetie though. She'd better be a she- she's old enough to start showing parts if she's not, I would think, and with all that hair, it's not an easy task to check, lol! Especially since she doesn't like to hold still excpt for a bit this afternoon when she was in the house on my lap.:innocent:
The minute you do anything other than pet her on her back, she goes into play mode.
It's beautiful out, so she's now back outside- in this tiny house, an in and out thing is the safest way to introduce her to other cats, anyway. They all seem to know her outside, but inside is their territory- whole different ballgame.
Thanks everone, for your nice comments!

She is adorable. She reminds me of a cat that was at the barn I boarded my horse at as a kid, her name was Lacy. Lacy had a short haired sister named Cagney, with half a white face. Both of them were incredibly sweet and I'd have to same I'm partial to those black and whites.

Evidently for the same reason someone dropped this one off at around 6 WEEKS of age 2 years ago!

Gives you an idea of his size- that's a 15 in. monitor.
We call black and white kitties like Chance tuxedo cats, too!

Thanks for the nice comments! I'm seriously wondering if little Chance is part Maine Coon as well- she and Jumior are so much alike in build, they both have the furry paws and you can just see the tufts of hair on the tips of Chance's ears.

Well, I discovered today that I may not be very good at telling a cat's age, lol!
My UPS driver- who also happens to be a friend of mine- stopped in with a delivery today, and looked at Chance. She's dealt with a lot more rescue cats and strays over the years than I have. She estimated Chance's age to be more like 6 months- eek! She goes to the vet on Tuesday, and if my friend is right, she'll most likely be spayed, and shots will come later, otherwise, she'll just get her first set of shots, lol!
