Hey does anyone else watch the vampire show True Blood on Sunday nights on HBO? I love it, it's so addicting!

I don't have HBO:(!!! However, I'm reading the books (on book four now) so I'm not sure I want to watch the show yet - I hate it when the "picture" I've made up in my mind is ruined by actors that don't seem "right". I will probably rent the show at Blockbuster (I've seen the first few episodes there already) after I finish the last book (I think there are eight). My friend who is loaning me the books is watching the show and she said it is WAY more sexual than the books and that Sookie looks like she thought she would but Eric does NOT look like the Viking he's supposed to look like and that Bill isn't as cute as he was supposed to be.

Ahhhh, I love the show. It is very sexual, she's right. I was kind of surprised, but it doesn't bother me. I think alot of the vampire stuff has that kind of feel. You will really like the show, it will be good for you to watch it on DVD because every episode ends with a cliffhanger and it's so frustrating to wait a whole week! I didn't know there were books though, I'll have to get those! There's also a hilarious show on after it on Sundays called the Life and Times of Tim, it is FUNNY! I am always just howling when I watch it!

I love it.........I didn't realize the show was based on a series of books. Guess I need to hone up on my vampire reading material.

I like all the correlations between racism and discrimination. I don't always get to see it on Sunday night, hubby can't stand the show, so I am glad they repeat it during the week. I love the opening song.....that is one hot song! I told hubby he should write a song and submit it or submit one he has written already. I think some of his material would go over really well since the show is set in Louisiana.

It took me a while to realize that it was Anna Paguin playing Sookie, my has she grown up? I hope they give more info about Bill's past. And what is the connection with the Detective's last name, is it the name of the vamp that turned him? I may have to get the books..........................

Love some of the terms too...fang banger?

I miss Moonlight..........does anyone know if it is coming back?

YIKES - Anna Paquin is Sookie??? I hope they at least gave her the light blonde hair she is supposed to have... and the long thin legs and big boobs?

In book three you find out what the Bellfleurs have to do with Bill and the vamp that turned him plays a HUGE role in that book.

The friend that's read all the books says it looks like the plot for season one will just cover book one but that some of the characters that have already been introduced in the show weren't introduced in the books until books three and four. Are there werewolves in the show yet? The further I read the more I see how many ideas Stephenie Meyer got from Charlaine Harris.
