*grins* I can't believe I missed this thread as long as I did.
Bad news though. *is extremely unhappy right now*
In light of Rachel's loss yesterday, it's been announced that she's no longer being pointed towards the Apple Blossom. Zenyatta on the other hand, intends to go whether Rachel is there or not.
Jesse Jackson, principal owner of 2009 Horse of the Year Rachel Alexandra, announced March 14 that the 4-year-old filly will not face Zenyatta in the Apple Blossom Handicap (gr. I) at Oaklawn Park April 9.

IMHO Rachel at her very best couldn't beat Zenyatta. The two of them meeting up would only prove that. I am sure Rachel fans and her connections would rather them not meet up because at least now there is still that what if she could beat Zenyatta. I wish they would meet up, but there would be some excuse for why she couldn't win...

That's a shame. I am a big Rachel fan. i have watched her races a lot. I have tried to always catch them on Horse racing TV. In my eyes she is a great racehorse. If it was me though I would retire her from racing and but her into my broodmare band.
