Sunny Day ... Let's Go Trail Riding!!

Today was absolutely gorgeous for trail riding! A friend invited me along and I was super happy because I haven't been on the trails in ages. We had a wonderful time. We saw so many hummingbirds sitting on branches -- I've never seen humming birds sit still that long before, and all of them had this really bright metallic red spot of feathers on their chests.

We met all sorts of interesting people out for hikes, and some had dogs, and some were on bikes. It was nice talking to some people, along with some tourists from China (I think) who wanted some pictures with the horses. The older lady really liked Mitch's braids.

Sitting on a snow storm here in NJ and expecting another one next week that could add up to another foot....where is 70? I hate the groundhog!

:greengrin: It was a bit breezy on the bluffs. When I was at the barn, I was just wearing a tee-shirt, but once you get close to the ocean, a bit of a breeze tends to pick up.

I went on a wonderful trail ride yesterday too..it was only 65 here though.:D I'm further north. I would have taken pictures...but, well, i was ponying another horse, so it didn't really work out.

What a great day here as well!! We only had 50F but still we got out....lots people walking holding hands and dogs....Didn't see any other horses but I'm sure they were there.

Whats funny is the place that I'm boarding at has about 20++++ of Mitch look a likes LOL. I will say one thing, they sure are sweet horses with great temperaments.

Yes I said 20++++ and they have a few for sale (cutback in herd) They also have some mule crossed with the haflingers but not sure if they are for sale.
