The horse that my niece liked to claim as her own at the barn finally lost her battle with liver problems. My niece Kara was attached to the saddlebred mare the first time she met her several years ago. When Kara moved down here a couple of years ago, her and RC became best buds.
RC was owned by a friend of mine and let Kara ride her and hang out. Kara would go into her stall and just be with her and they would share their secrets with each other. Kara is pretty upset.
She made this video as a tribute to RC. I wanted to share it with you. It's sad but so powerful.
Goodbye RC and thank you for loving Kara.

Beautiful tribute. Do you know who the song is by...I would love to use it for a video tribute to my Mom who passed away.
That's a beautiful video, Cheval. It's obvious the affection they shared.

I'm so sorry for her passing. She was beautiful. I know you don't have to own a horse to feel the pain of its passing. May peace come to you soon.

It is wonderful that they found each other and it sure looks like they shared part of themselves with each other. May the pain of her passing give way to a gentle smile and happy memories when she thinks of her friend. God bless.

what a lovely video. So sorry for the passing of her horsey friend :(
The Time Has Come (Pikachu's Goodbye) is the name of the song, it's from a Pokemon movie (my youngest brother loves pokemon, as does a friends younger brother...so I've heard it enough to recognize it

What a beautiful horse and you can really see the bond they had with one another. The photos remind me of my 2 boys with Cutter especially the oldest they have bond that is there by heart. I am sorry for your loss and let your niece know that too. Like it was once said you don't have to own horse to know the pain of losing a friend. You will be in my prayers.
RIP RC you will be greatly missed by your dear friend.

Thank you so much everyone. I will have her read all your wonderful thoughts when she gets home from school. She is a huge anime fan and I think someone mentioned it was a Pokemon song.

Wow. I was like, "Oh, crud. I just lost my mascara to Heaven's East's thread!" and there went the foundation on that video. Such a nice tribute. Did the owner of the horse get to see it?

Yes, she was there with the BO and took RC over to the clinic to be put down. RC gave a good fight. The vet said he'd never seen a horse with her liver issue still standing. After the diagnosis a few weeks ago they decided to do a day by day thing and RC finally let it be known it was time.

I'm sorry. I didn't mean did the owner get to see the horse being put down. I meant the video. :o
