Does your horse do this when they roll?

I swear Solon is the noisiest horse when he rolls. People will come running from the barn to see what's wrong. :huh:

Got this video tonight. He had a nice soak in the mud. Took forever to get him even remotely looking like a horse and not a hobo.

He got high centered yesterday. :eek: I thought I was going to have to run over and push him over. He has a silly notion to try and roll UP hill. Silly horse!

I ride mostly bareback but when I have lessons I ride in an English saddle. Though I irritate my trainer by always kicking my feet out of my stirrups - I hate... hate.. hate stirrups. He's 18 hand and 2200 lbs. (will be soon going on the Jenny Craig for Horses plan :eek:).

I did! He was nibbling on my pony tail while I was outside with him. I think he really does pick up when I am extra anxious. He licks my face like a dog. It's sweet but really gooey.

LOL. No I've never heard a horse make that noise when rolling or otherwise. Course, I've never had a horse that big!

He also sings while he sleeps. The BO and everyone calls it his 'Whale song'. It literally sounds like whale song. I've yet to catch it on video but its really eerie. He's just a very vocal pony I guess.

Solon is too cute! I always want to snuggle him. :D Legacy makes that exact noise when I leave before he's ready for me to, or show up with special treats. Haha.

Oh my gosh! If you don't have a viral video of your horse in the next year I'd be surprised!! He's hilarious!!! What a character!! None of my horses make noise when they role but they are all mares. Mack used to make tons of noise while he was rolling. I called it his old man noises. .. lots of groaning and stuff. He used to sit half way up on his haunches and turn his body around to get the other side. Looked like a dog and then just walk his front feet over and lay back down. Gelding are funny!!

My Baby Boy actually makes the exact same noise when he rolls...he is not nearly as big though! He is only about 15.3 and about 1000 pounds (well probably less at the moment...trying to get him to gain some). I love it! Pixie doesn't make any noise when she rolls, lol.

Heaven definitely had him beat. It was pretty hilarious. You could even tell what part of the roll he was in by the tone of his grunts. I sure will miss hearing that silly boy.
