ok, i know what your all thinking... it was for a school assignment. We had to do something that made us feel uncomfortable. Here is what i wrote on my school blog...
Well, there we were, my dad, Lauren, and I were driving around Beverly looking for something uncomfortable. We had gone up and down at least five streets, but so far we couldn't find anything. Then when we were just about to leave and deal with the consequences, my dad spotted a tattoo parlor. I though he was joking when he wanted Lauren and Me to go in there and ask how old you had to be to get a tattoo, but he wasn't. Lauren and I decided to go in together because just the thought of it gave us butterflies in our stomachs. We walked up the the store front and the door was weird and off to the side, so we didn't go in. Instead we walked down the street in our plaid PJs and popped into a health food store, hoping something uncomfortable would come to us. Nothing. We went back to the truck and my dad said that we had to go into the tattoo place. So, again Lauren and I walked in and opened the door. This door lead to a hallway, Lauren tried the door, but she couldn't open it. Back to the car we went, but once again my dad wouldn't leave until we went in. Back across the street we went, thinking about how people watching must think, we had crossed the street at least six times. This time the door "magically" work and we stepped into the tattoo parlor. This guy walked out with a confused expression on his face. Im not surprised because 13 year old girls don't just walk into tattoo places. Lauren said hi and I went on to explain what we were doing and why. "Are you uncomfortable?" he asked, "Hehe, yeah..." was my reply. We said bye and walked out the door laughing at what a great story he could tell his friends. With my uncomfortable moment, it wasn't so much being in the tattoo parlor, it was getting the courage to go in there and say hi. After going in there after three tries, it really wasn't scary or uncomfortable inside as most people may think.
