Bosal dilemma

Anybody have a solution for a bosal for a bigger horse? I have a paint who's got Appendix and is just bigger featured. None of my bosals fit her, and I went to order one from the tack store only to find they have a universal size. I've tried fewer wraps to no success. I wondered about using heavy slobber straps/reins to equal the weight of a rope one but... not sure if it would work the same. Anyone run into this sort of problem and what did you do? Thanks for any tips

are you asking about a bosal tie down or hackamore bosal?

I'm talking about the braided rawhide bosals with the rope wrapped around the base of it

I couldnt find one big enough for my daughters QH/Morgan so we went with the sidepull, wish I could be of more help to you

They do make bigger one.. I too have a appendix QH mare it's a matter of trying different ones on. yet I have found that a 12 plait 5/8 braided bosal fit my mare. I have included a link to a company that might be able to help you. When I contacted them I had aready took a measurement of my mare, I explained what problems I was having finding a bosal to fit and that I had already taken a measurement.
