Me? Home buying issues and nervousness.

alright

Tiz

That's nearly impossible for me, Jackie. Wise advice though.:)

General nervousness, as a rule, or as a result of home buying issues? What's the prob, WB?

Short version? Red tape. Little longer? Lender requirements with the inspection and appraisal. Documentation on inspections that should have been done when the deck was built. Stuff that doesn't make a bit of difference to us except the bank needs it. I just hope the seller has got it, or can get it. I don't want stupid stuff to get in the way at this point!

Yikes, WB... blech. No fun. Hopefully everything works out fine.

Me.... my normal rant about the same time a new season begins in my youth sports league.

WB... I understand your RE frustrations. I was a realtor for 12 years. Sit back at night and chat with Cousin "Jack" .... ;) It will at least help you relax at the end of the day. :)

Now I can say after reading all the responses I got a good giggle. :D Made me feel even better.

Okay sorry to hear about your experiences guys and yes I have a GRRRRRRR myself LOL

I will be adding my own thread with my adventure very shortly:) It is a must read (and a good laugh)

(I guess I'm hijacking this thread? :o) Yeah RD I hope so too. The lender said it didn't sound serious, but I guess the dang appraiser is very thorough and wants documentation I'm just not sure the sellers, have, or can get. I don't even think they put on the deck, and if they did, I don't think they remember it. They're old people, and I really don't give a rip about L&I or HUD regulations. The deck looks fine to me. It's made it this many years, it will make it as long as we need it... Then we'll put a new house on it.

Dad said the appraisal would be no problem because they want to make the bank happy and the bank just wants the loan. I think they're being a lot more persnickety than maybe they have been in the past.

You mean the previous owner may have built a deck without paying through the nose for permits and inspections?!?!?! Say it ain't so!

Sorry, WB, you've got some muck to wade through. Looks like a bad day to give up cocaine too.

CG, you and WB, and Jack. Good medicine.

I'll join in the thread hijacking and venting! I walked into work tonight to find that we had one colic going into a stall, one still in the stocks, another on the way, and ambulatory out at a down mule! On top of that, we just started clinics for the Class of 2011, so my students have been out of a classroom all of 3 days now!
Why am I on the computer? I have a small break between the storms right now!

So someone please have a drink for me ! I just gotta make it to 6am, and it will be the weekend! Though they canceled our barrel race due to the parking conditions! But it's two of my friends b'days, and the SLE Rodeo is going on! So I plan to spend the weekend drowning my sorrows and partying like I'm a college kid again!

Naaw... there really wasn't a thread. ;) Just a lot of.... :banghead:

I can understand your frustrations WB. Some of the lenders can be ruthless. Hang in there, sometimes there are loop holes you can find or your realtor can find. ;)

Hmmm. I built a 80x34 stable, then attached a 60x120 arena, then attached a 30x60 garage plus a huge deck to the house. Did I need permits?
