Well, I figured I'd post some pics about my bottle babies. They are called, as a whole, the Mint litter. There were 5, but sadly I lost two - Rose and Gidget.

Marco, Paula, and Syder are now 8 weeks old. I've had them since they were 2 weeks, bottle feeding around the clock and nursing them all through a nasty upper respiratory infection. Litter training them, playing with them, and loving on them, and now its almost time to say goodbye and send them off to their forever homes. I still have them in my foster, but their futures are no longer in my hands and the rescue is looking to place them. I have complete faith that they will all get good homes, I just can't believe its almost time to say goodbye to them. They grew so fast.

I'll do a post with pics per kitten, if thats alright.

First up is Marco. He is the shyest of the bunch, but he draws confidence off Paula. He is a lover when he builds up the courage to investigate a new person. He is quite the explorer and is usually the one in the litter who ends up in the wierdest of all places. He is the lighter of the two tabbys.

Paula is Marco's confident half. She is darker than Marco and into everything. She is my wire chewer, ball player crazy one of the bunch.

And last but not least. Spider, named because of his ability, even at a much younger age, to climb darn near anything. He is the one who requries more human attention than the others. He is always in your face, under your feet or climbing your leg. His favorite place to be is on your shoulder. Once he reaches his perch of preference he proceeds to groom (lick) your chin, when he's ready for the other side, he'll gently take a paw to encourage you to turn your head. He is quite the little lover. Floor length curtains is not a good thing to have around when he is. He is my gray tabby.

I just got an application to go over in on Paula. The rescue has pre approved her, but before they respond they are giving me the right to go over it. I was hopeful that maybe Marco and Paula could go together. Marco really depends on her. It isn't uncommon in cats for someone to take two, but this particular applicant is only interested in Paula. Wish Paula luck, I'm going to call the applicant tomorrow and make sure she is prepared for Paula's antics, lol.

LOL, that is how my Spyder got his name! Since he was about 3 weeks old and long before the others started climbing he would work his way up to my shoulder and peer around at my face. He tries to climb everything, and can climb things the others can't. The girls actually named him Spyder kitty, after Spider Pig on the Simpson's movie. Goofie kids, but hey...it fits.

All righty, updates on my kittens. All of them have been adopted to wonderful homes. Spyder was adopted with another kitten he made friends with at an adoption event. Marco and Paul were adopted earlier this week together! I'm so happy that Marco and Paula get to stay together, and I'm thrilled that Spyder's family is ok with his climbing abilities. His antics crack them up and they are entertained for hours on end by him and his tricks.

i love kitties
been there, done that (once) - bottle feeding
most definitely a labor of love....... very tiring getting up all night long to feed and potty them... but worth it!
