All right. My husband and my oldest daughter are into gaming so of course my younger two (ages 4 and 5) are wanting to play games as well. We have several educational computer games for them, however at times the computer has a line waiting to use it if you know what I mean.

I would like to get my two younger ones their own EDUCATIONAL (to some extent) system, and have it off the computers. I don't want them playing all hours of the day, but since so many in our family do play, I understand their desire. I have been looking into the v-tech v-smile, hooks up to t.v. Or the Leapfrog Leapstar, portable. From what I'm reading the types of games are comparable. Reviews are decent on both as well as most games are enjoyed and easy enough for the age its intended to follow and understand. Does anyone have personal experience with either or both of these systems? Is there a preference and why? Problems with them? Must have games or ones to stay away from? Other suggestions? I want to get them a system that is just for them. No wii's, playstations, x-boxes etc. Nothing that they are going to have to compete for time on, something that is all theirs and age appropriate. Any suggestions or personal experiences are welcome. Thank you in advance.
