I noticed on another thread that someone mentioned movies costing $5 in their area. My jaw dropped at how cheap that was! So I started wondering how much it costs if you guys want to go see a movie on a friday night. Here it is $8.25! :(

It's not that cheap here!!!! It's like 7 - 9 dollars a movie, depending on when and where. My Mom and I took my 3 year old to a 10:00 movie and it was 19 dollars!!! I thought that was a lot.

I haven't been to the theater here and had to pay for myself yet so I don't know, but the one closest to my home is like $9! I hate that theater anyways because it's always crowded and dirty. I usually go out to Tampa or Ybor City. They're like $6 there and the theaters are usually empty.

Its around $9 here in Ontario to see a movie at a cheap theater. At the more expensive theaters, its around $15 to see a movie.

around here it really depends cuz here in lil ol Huntsville it is 5 bucks and 3 for a matinee not to mention generally no sold out shows or ridiculous prices at concession, go down the road 25 miles and it is just the opposite

It's 7.50 for the matinee and 9 or 10 for the evening shows.

But the food prices were raised recently. It's 4.00 for a small popcorn and 4.25 for a medium pop.

Here in Cincinnati, Ohio it is $9.50 for the evening show and maybe $7 during the day (I never go) for first run movies. I never pay that though, I get military prices!

Wow, seems about the going rate... it's 9 bucks a person here.

It's 10 here. But you can go to Costco (Like BJs or Sams club) and buy these movie ticket packages and the tickets end up being like 5 -6 a person and you can use them on the evening shows.:popcorn:

In my area it's around $9/$9.50 for the evening show, matinee is $7, and on Monday's it's $5 all day.

Geez, tickets are so expensive now! I have a few ticket stubs left over from dates and stuff and its both sad and amusing to see the increase in price over time.
