So I couldn't be happier at the moment about my current summer employment. This summer will be my third year working at the water park in my town. I have always been a cashier, and do most of my work on selling tickets and scanning tickets at the front gate. However, a few days ago I got an email from my manager asking if I would be interested in being promoted to guest service position or supervisor.
I just got back from my interview, where my manager informed me that because of my people skills I will be placed in the guest service department. I get to spend my time inside a nice air conditioned area with 6 other girls, answering the phone, listening to guests, selling season passes, and filing reports. My manager informed me I should be very busy for the first month of opening which I'm happy for. I hated being bored on the slow days of being a cashier.
So hip hip hooray to being a bit richer, with a higher pay check, and dependable hours.
