So I told Bob that what my comp issues are. He said, you need a new one, that one is on its last leg. I like eMachines, have had them for yrs, so I went out and searched them for what I need and I like this one.(funny how now that I searched, the words are keeping up with my typing). I hate to spend the money, even with it being so inexpensive. He says, get out, you've sounded down the last couple days, told me to have a Walmart guy put it in the truck and he will bring it in and hook it up tomorrow. Of course after he does all my back up stuff.
So, if I get off my butt and go, this is what Im going for. I thought it was cool that the one I wanted is sold at Walmart.

Yup, your right....the good times lasted a whole 5 minutes..LOL. Acting up when I ask it to do what it should be doing.
I've never heard of eMachines. Are they made by a different company like HP or Sony?

eMachines goes way back, were based out of CA yrs ago. My husband said they were bought out, he thinks by HP. Alot of people dont like eMachines, the name is kind of like Walmart to some folks. Ive had NOTHING but good deals with them, and I get the warranty plan and have used it with NO issue. :)

Not to turn this into a Wal Mart argument thread, but I think the store has its place. I quite like their deals on food, electronic and toiletries. It's a familiar sight when I go on road trips across the US and Canada.

I agree with Vicky on the eMachines. Though I've only had this one a little over a year, I've had no issues with it so far(knock on wood)!
I was drooling over that computer in WalMart the other day. I have the early 2009 cheapest model with Vista Home Basic, 160 GB HD and 2 GB RAM. To me, it's paradise compared to what I had, but just like anyting else, within 6-8 months of me getting something brand new and being up with the Joneses, it doesn't last long. This time Windows 7 was released, and when it was, eMachine went up to a 320 GB HD for the same price as the one with Vista I have- grrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Get the new eMachine!!!!!!!!!!!!! (And then let me know how good it really is, lol!):p

I got it. Its sitting in the back of my truck awaiting Bob to take it out.
Some things I wont buy at Walmart, like a sewing machine, those are pretty much crapola.
I searched eMachines site before finding that they carry it at Walmart, so I was ok with it.
Only difference is, the warranty from Walmart costs more and is only 2 yrs. No biggy, if its gonna go it'll be the first 2 yrs usually.
GR, I know, Im lovin those upgrades on the comp, and also that I can upgrade 2 slots if I want to.
Bob was concerned about my vid card, and said he was very happy with the one in the new comp.
Ill let you know how it works. Gotta be WAY better than the one Im using now, its an old model.
I think Ill get the one Im using restored to its old self and give it to mom, they lost the one her hubby uses for games in that lightning strike.

We have an eMachine from Walmart that used to be mine and now is for my girls. We've had it for 4 years maybe and it's really been a great computer. Glad you got a new one!

I think I have the same exact card in mine, and I really like it. Of course, I'm only using a 15 inch monitor, lol!
That sounds like a great plan. At least that way, someone will get use oout of your old one.
Like I said last night, from what I saw was in thet puter, unless you have a ton of windows up, it will probably move so fast you won't keep up with it! ROFL!
