Dice's tail get's so yellow and dirty. Today I gave him a bath. Somebody had given me a tail bag...I thought I'd use it. How do you get the darn thing to stay on? I braided it in and it came right off. Is it supposed to be below the bone?:(

Yeah, You put it below the bone. Never tie anything around the bone or you could cut off circulation. If you have a braid in type with 3 strands then you can french braid it in higher if you like because it's not wrapped around the tail. If it's a bag type, you braid the tail, put a rubber band at the bottom, put the trail in the bag and thread the tie strings through the braid just under the bottom of the tail bone, tie it in a knot around and through the braid.

I hope someone has better luck than me. I have the braided type and it always falls out. :(

I start a three strand basic braid right below the bone of the tail. I use vetwrap at the bottom of that hair to reduce damage to the hair to "tie the end off"...pop the tailbag over and then run two strand of the 4 ties on in opposite ways and do a square knot on one side, then do the same to the other side. My girls have had tailbags on for 2 weeks now and not an issue with them coming off.

I have the one with three pieces at the end. But can I braid his tail, put it in the bag and then weave the three parts in? I don't know how to do a french braid...a little handicapped in that department:huh:

Yes, The three pieces you are talking about are at the opening of the tail bag. Braid the tail, put it in the bag then pull the trail bag up to just under where the bone stops. Push some of the tie pieces through the middle of the braid and out the back then tie it around to it's self. You don't braid in this type of tail bag, you just tie it to the braid just under the tail bone to hold it up.
