Well as some of yall know I had 2 rods placed in my back to correct my scoliosis.

I haven't rode since Feb 21st (day before surgery). Oh well its a pointless thread but I'm just so happy. :happydance:
Farah was an angel, no hissy fits and we did a short gallop. It was a 2 hr trail ride just around our property and so far no back pain. LOL

I wasn't even suppose to be THINKING about riding until atleast 5-6 months after surgery...The doctor told me I wouldn't even be able to pull myself up into the saddle.
Well I guess I am super woman

Yeah I admit that it was probably a dumb move, I didn't even think about calling the doctors...
I'm off all of my pain meds and feel completely normal so I don't think it was much of a big deal (Maybe if I hit the dirt..), Its been 60 days
Thanks everyone

Not a pointless thread at all! Nice pictures!
Glad he did so well for you. Man, do I know how you felt... To be honest I wouldn't call the doc either.
I was begging my husband to sit me up on my horse when I had casts on my wrists. (I was very upset he wouldn't do it.)
Climbed up on her as soon as my casts went off and I had enough strength to do so.
I was not supposed to, so I made sure nobody was at home to stop me. Oh it felt so good!
I don’t blame you at all! ;)

It's great that you're doing better, glad you were able to sneak a ride in. :) Be careful, though... make sure the dr okays it! ;)
Yay! I am glad you got to ride, especially with this totoally awesome weather we have been having lately. Right now it why it is good to live in South GA, lol. Aside from the bugs which are driving Jesse crazy. I'm going to buy some fly spray ASAP. Have a fun time but not TOO much fun or you may mess up your back again and that would be NO fun!

I wish I could have got some video but my mom was out partying *sigh* and my little brother can barely hold the camera right anyways. Maybe I will be able to video my next ride. :)
Thanks Mrs. Vicky, I deserved that lol

So glad you are feeling better. Wow, remarkable recovery trek you're on. However, like Vicky said, please be careful, she speaks from experience. Maybe not in the same procedure you had, but in life and ills themself. By the way, you both look marvelous. :)

Glad you are feeling better. Please, please, please follow doctor's orders here, though. You don't want to risk a setback. But we are so happy for you that you are feeling better. That's wonderful news.
