My Daughters play time with Dixie

Yesterday after I had my eye doctors appointment, I roped up my daughter and off we went to the stable to play in the arena.

I brought the barrels, one set of the jumps and we already had some poles and the bobsled at the barn to play with.

We arrive at about 10 am and worked out horses out on the lunge lines and then saddled up for some fun times.

My daughter was in heaven. This was her first time riding out in the arena since Jan. of this year. She really enjoys doing the poles and jumps and as for those barrels, well I might have my hands full with a little barrel racer LOL. I'm going to have to get some expert help with that one!!

Even I got to work the stiffness issues out of Chip yesterday. After a while Chip was almost back to his normal self. He still needs to slow down on his canter and maintain his collection but all in due time.

There was a time when Miss Dixie avoided the poles and jumps with my daughter. Well after about 100 rounds LOL I guess she said that was enough but I decided to ride Miss Dixie and convice her that she really wanted to do more of those poles and jumps http://forum.lvhorsejunkie.com/images/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
I worked her on her canter, collected trot and those poles and jump. Of course Dixie can sense that I mean business and behaved like an angel.

We had a beautiful day working and playing with the ponies and spending some special time with my daughter!

She's doing so much better with her riding. She was a little discouraged with her progress but I explained to her that it's been since Jan. since she really rode her horse by herself and she just needs more practice.
She is wanting to do the Metro Competition and I tell her that she needs to practice her seat and hands before I will allow her in it. Hopefully this year we will get more practice time in for her to compete.

As for my ghostly appearance :hysterical::hysterical: My daughter was too busy to stop to snap a picture of me and I wasn't going to stop her from her day so the next best thing was the ghost pics:p

Thank you everyone for the nice comments about my little girl and her day. It was a special day that we don't have the opportunity that much with my day's off and etc. but last Sat. was a perfect Mom and daughter day.
