Which SMB to get?

My dad is buying me new boots, bells, and a saddle pad, but I'm debating on which SMB type to get. I was going to get just the SMB II because it was cheaper, but I know there are so many new styles and I wasn't sure if they are really any better. I'll put up a pole and please let me know which you picked and why. He is giving my money next week! Thanks guys!

I'd get the Vantech. I dont like the Elites. They let way to much dirt in and I just dont like the way they hold up. They say they're the best and all but they're not. I dont even like Professional's choice personally. Classic Equine lasts a LOT longer and give your horse much better protection, but of the Pro Choice I like the Vantechs the best. Dont let as much dirt in although they do let some in (as will any boot pretty much) and they hold up farely well. The IIs and III are just too stiff IMO and I dont like them as well. Just my :2cents: worth..lol

Well the vantechs are skid boots...do you need skid boots? I am assuming no, since you listed the other styles. I have always been happy with pro choice boots. I used IIs for the longest time have never used IIIs because my IIs held up for so long (and you have seen the riding we do;)). I just purchaced for my horse the Elites because they have front and rear designed boots. I like the way the fit better. Good luck with your choice.

i have always wanted pro choice and have had other boots and have always had a gut feeling about getting them. i found some ventechs that were elites but newer and better. i talked to my dad and he said to go ahead and get them, might as well go better!

I love my Elites they hold very well i have had the same set for years now and i just bought a new set because hubby said i could get a matching color set. i dont know too much about the others ones but dont knock them till you try'em.

I've had the II's, III's, and elites. Honestly I didn't have a problem with any of them, but I never found anything better about the III's or the elites that made them worth the extra money. Only reason I'd get them was if they came in color that I wanted that the other's didn't come in. They all work just fine, very little difference between any of them.
Personaly I buy the Jeffers brand SMB, but they only come in black, blue and red.

I prefer the II's or III's more than the elite's. I have a pair of Elites that I honestly do not care for. I can make them fit fine, just don't like them.

The vantech elites are the elites.... The VanTechs slide tech are skid boots.

So it looks like you are going with the Elites? ;)

SMB II info not available on the page I was comparing. The ventech is the lining not the model.

I have a pair of the Slide-techs in purple..... they are a wow boot but if your not doing that then they are not needed ... the elites are the ventech like Appylover says.

The best boots I've ever owned were my Classic Equines, honestly. They have held up so well, been ridden in hard and only have a very small tear. The velcro is still in great shape and perfect, the boots are just great boots. I've had PC boots too, and honestly didn't really care for them as much. They were much more flimsy and just didn't hold up as good. I ordered another pair of PC combo boots and I'll give them another shot, but honestly, I think I'll stick with CE after this pair.

I think they're all pretty! Does that help you? We saw some at the expo that came in patterns. They were swEET! They were a different brand though. So cool.:D
