I have some new pictures of Twilight, wait till I post the before and afters! She looks amazing and is a little spunk. It was a bit cooler today; I was trottin her in hand and wanted to see how fast she could trot, the little stinker took off cantering, lol! Her tail was raised high as it could be and I let that mare go in the arena and she just took off, her and Quest had a blast. She has been saddled and is amazing in the roundpen. Will be getting on within a month most likely.

We got her at 5 months when she was weaned and now, she'll let the farrier do her without a hitch, she ground drives, saddles, does in hand trail, lounges etc. She's a gem, she'll go through or over anything. We actually fit together well!

I know! Thanks for thinking of us :) We've been riding alot and working on TONS of trot work involving lots of patterns, circles, surpentines, transitions, collection, extension, trot poles, and it's going great! He's really starting to get more supple through-out his body while before it felt like I was trying to steer a train around. We've even started some jumping and he seems to love it!

Next on our plate will canter work. He's good at transitioning from trot to canter but from there we have one speed and that's gallop, lol. I'm bummed winter is comming but it's great to have solid trot work under our belt.

The funny thing is when I registered Sonora I registered her as a grey but the refused to allow it and registered her as a bay because they didn't believe she would grey out. . . so I guess i need to correct it. . wonder how much that will cost?

Irisgreen, I thought everyone knew Toby! He is a registered haflinger (M-line, his registered name is Motley). He was my first horse and of course I did it all wrong and got a yearling for my first. But I don't regret a minute of it! Even if I was black and blue once in a while. :p

Here is another before and after I find striking. This is my husband's horse. He is a draft cross (belgianXspotted saddle is our best guess) and he was an orphan foal. Almost lost him when he was a baby to foal pnemonia, but he pulled through!

The BO where I take lessons has a big dark bay OTTB named Bones and I seem to remember him having a similar story as your horse. Your boy is certainly looking healthy now, I love his wide blaze.

No, Houston Farrier's horses are much bigger, although they might not be as stocky. His horses are clydes and Tofana is perch & irish sport, all nice breeds.
Tofana is not that tall for his breeding, he is 17 hands, but he is very heavy and big boned, and the neck also makes him look big. He was weighed at 1810 lbs last year, but I think he has put on some size since then (the person with the mobile scale is no longer in the business). He is by a percheron stud that was over 18h and out of an irish sport mare that was 17'3", so he is actually on the small side.

I like Pirate as a 3 yr old. Dark Dapples are a grey I like, picky about greys.
I like his build at 9, but prefer the Dapple on him.
He sure is white(clean), thats impressive!!

I like Pirate as a 3 yr old. Dark Dapples are a grey I like, picky about greys.
I like his build at 9, but prefer the Dapple on him.
He sure is white(clean), thats impressive!!

Grey is my least favorite color and I ended up with 2 greys. Flea bitten greys I like the least and Pirate has turned into a flea bitten grey. I love when they are dark dappled, why couldn't they stay that way? Silly horses.

I agree I love everyone's before & after pictures! Wow some horses really changed their looks from birth to current! Ehhhh hemmmmm Equine~ your horse really made a change! LOL.

I don't really have a before & after of Legend. I only have had her for about 5 months now. But I post a pic of when I went to go look at her & what she looks like now! She looks a lot happier with me!
