Hello Everyone,

Today I had the pleasure of volunteering to help the Catholic Charities serve "Thanksgiving Dinner" to the homeless/less fortunate individuals with the Fitzgerald's Casino group.
There was a total 13 of us from this Hotel/Casino and about 160 total volunteers for the event.

We arrived there at 9AM and was prepped as to what was expected of us which was pretty easy.
As we where waiting in line to start serving the dinners, our Mayor of Las Vegas Oscar Goodman came through and greeted each and everyone one of us.
As you can tell, my husband is friends with Mayor Goodman and the officers.

It was a great event that went quite well and left all of us with a sense of pride giving back to our community.

I will also be doing the walk to save the tata's (breast cancer awareness) this Sat.

I would like to thank my husband for talking me into this and to the Fitzgerald's group for giving their time and their hearts to our community when in need.

Enough, here are some pics from today.

Wow! That's great! I'll bet you felt really good after the day was done. :) Are you going to be volunteering on Thanksgiving?

It does leave you with a good feeling.

Umm if they have Thanksgiving on a day like today then yes, I would volunteer again. We all had a great time with some good laughs and no casualties LOL

This is the first time for me on this one. We have a few other things that we get involved in like Gang Task (with kids), Shade Tree(womans shelter), NLV Elementary school (bad drug and gang infested area) and a few others that escape my morning mind.
We will be bringing the horses down to this school sometime in May for the kids once we get all the paperwork and etc done. Horses and kids are always a good mix.

Thank you OG, I wish we could "GIVE" to our own who are out of work, their homes with their families living in make shift tents, boxes etc. I know that us Americans are very giving but we need to concentrate on what is happening right here on our own soil instead of foreign.
