I'm NOT known for my sewing abilities so in order to repair a blanket or sheet I would need to send it off to someone who could...so I was wondering if there exists any type of water proof patch that can be either ironed on or "stuck"/Glued on to small tears and holes on horse blankets or sheets? I noticed a small L shaped tear in Bigg's rain sheet and I want to get it fixed before the next down-pour! Help!

Go to a sporting goods store and use the patch kits for water rafts and intertubes. They just glue on.

That is a GREAT idea, and probably exactly what I'll do. Maybe I'll pick up some rainboots while I'm at it :) Thanks! Have you used these patches before? Does the glue adhere to the fabric pretty good? I'd imagine it would since it has to be water-tight to work on a raft.

Oh yeah, that glue adheres very well, don't get your fingers stuck!

Also there are patch kits made for ripstop nylon. I used on on a sleeping bag. Got it at the sporting goods store too.
