She got it all figured out!
She was not hesitant to put it back on at all today, although she took off for her run, she came back to me as I had some grass to feed her through her now improved hole. I only cut it just a hair bigger, but enough so that she can now get some small bites, which is enough. I can now leave her out and not worry about her over eating.
I got a chuckle out of her while taking the pics. She put her ears back at me....ya...like I want some of that grass to eat...NO thank you, its all yours, for what you can get...LOL

Took this from a distance as I was not sure how she would be if I got close(stop eating maybe).

Then I walked up to her and she only stopped for a minute to see what I wanted, then went back to eating.

I love it!! She can only get small bites and its way more work for her to eat now, so now I can not worry about her.
Shes even done her roll and it dosnt bother her, no rubbing it off or anything, now that she understands how to use it and she can actually get some grass through it.
Oh ya, she has the whole field available to her now. All gates are open and she is loving that!!

Oh ya she does. She usually gets the big side or the small side, and now she gets it all. She goes through the gate like ah ha, its all Mine!!

Ah, here you are.
Be prepared for her to get spooky when she takes her first drink with it. When it comes out of the water some water rushes out. Weebles -the horse here- ran backwards, like 'what the heck'. She's fine now though.

She did drink but I didnt see it. The water level is down.
She slops water on purpose when she drinks, so that probably wont be an issue with her.

Yeah, I'm so glad she figured it out:clap: It's really not a big deal once they find they can get some grass.

It's just that stupid tiny hole that gets them upset. I'm so glad you enlarged it Vicklynn...

The first time Dice had his muzzle on, he went right over and stuck his head in the watering trough...no problem (then he stared at me until I made the hole bigger LOL)

I know that Dice can be out on grass all day and I
don't have to worry:cheers:

oh ok! Yeah, those are the exact ones we use here at the vet school to keep horses from eating ANYTHING! So I could imagine that she was having problems with the standard hole. Glad you got it modified, and she's accepting it now!
