Weather is getting nasty!

The storm is coming! It's bright blue skies next to my house one way and the other way is a HUGE black cloud. Wind has picked up and it's started to rain again. Ugh.

I went out during nap time and threw down 6 small bales for everyone... Put two in the shed and the other 4 out in the feeder. I was hoping that Norman and Booty would go in the shed and get out of the weather... NOPE! :rolleyes:

We've been getting the rain here- tomorrow it's supposed to turn to snow- yuk! I guess we'll have to say that winter's here!:(

Looks like rain/snow/wind for the next three days! Ish. I have not been out to see Ness the past few days, I had appointments and crazy stuff to do.....I am praying and hoping they got the shelter started or at least part of it put up out there. No horse should be outside with no shelter in this weather....I am a bit worried....

They're saying we could have TEN INCHES of rain between today and tomorrow!!! THEN it will "taper off" and just "shower" on Saturday and on Sunday we MIGHT have sunbreaks. UGH... time to start watching my creek rise...:cry:

it has been pouring here all day. We are sitting in our newest building at school.. we have been there for over 4 hours to avoid the rain... but its almost dinner so we will have to go out soon.. at least it looks like the wind has calmed down a bit

WOw. Last night on the news they said that Deadwood (in the Dakotas somewhere I think) got 39" of SNOW!!!!!!!!!! 39" That is insane! There were reports of 8 -11 foot snow drifts!!!

On Edit: just saw the news again... Deadwood, SOUTH Dakota. :) New storm total 46".

That's not unusual in that area- it's not too far from Rapid City, where my aunt lives. They always get the crazy weather extremes because of the Black Hills. They can go from sunny and 60 deg one day to below freezing and a few feet of snow within 24 hours. It's entirely possible for that to melt in the next week or two, or stay for the whole winter!

I saw that on the news about the Dakotas.....hope it just stays out there too.....lol!

It snowed here some today, along with rain too....but the snow didn't stick. Sure glad that blustery wind died down.....
