So I have casually been looking for a "project" horse, it would be one I could train and then probably re-sale or try to re-sale in the spring/summer. I have found a ton that sounds really nice. But since there are so many i'm like this... lol. So I would like your guy's opinions on them :) The horse will be training for hunter/jumper and Dressage of course. (The last one could do that but could also do some endurance since I work at a endurance ranch)
Anyways, so I posted the one Thoroughbred Mare but I will go ahead and post her again.
Horse #1: 5 yr old, 15.2hh Registered Thoroughbred Mare.
http://bend.craigslist.org/grd/907264829.html She would need to be vet checked for sure. I called to price a few different clinics for Pre Purchase Exams and it ranged from $110-$350. She doesn't have alot of formal training which could slow me down in my re-sale time because she would be training for a Hunter/Dressage horse.
Horse #2: 5 yr old, 16hh Registered National Show horse/Paint Gelding.
Gray-ish, He has blue eyes :innocent:
Good for the farrier, loads and trailers well. He's had a solid 30 days of trianing. He is also registered in the Pinto horse association.
Horse#3: 5 yr old, 14.1hh Registered APHA Mare.
(quoted from the owner)
Registered APHA Dun Mare, she has never been hurt never sick, has all vacinations done.
No bad habits, she does get bored if not worked with and plays with the fencing and gates will quite often escape and then not go any where. She has one blue eye. She loads, hauls, ties, is good for the farrier. She had 60 days prof. training, she was started under saddle- side passing, walking, trot, canter and does great. She lunges and round pens. She is quick to learn and settles nicely when worked consistantly for a few days. She likes water I hose here off in the summer.
Would be super cute hunter pony!!
I think she extremely cute! She is sending me a video.
Horse#4: 6yr. old, 15hh Registered Polish Arabian Gelding.
(quoted from owner)
He has his feet done regularly, wormed, and shots also. He loads,& bathes. My husband has ridden him, he has beautiful. movement. He has not been bit trained as of yet, we have used the natural training methods with our horses, and ride them in halters. We are not selling him because of financial problems, it is due to me having 2 back and a neck surgery, and I'm now disabled and can't ride. He is a nice horse, and desperately needs a job, we know he is bored. We are not looking to make money, we just want our beautiful boy to go to a wonderful loving home. We have even cosidered just giving him to the right person. His training has been the Parelli/ natural horse training. I believe he would be nervous and and somewhat frightened in a new inviroment. we know with the right person he would get through it. We just haven't been able to take him many places like we had hoped to. If you are seriously interested we would consider letting you take him home and see if he would be right for you, if he isn't what you need we would take him back so you wouldn't be strapped with a horse that you would not be happy with, we just want him to have a happy and loving home. We can get a vet check if you would like. We are not trying to hide anything.(wow!)
She is going to send pictures of him today or tomorrow.
