Does this look like fun or what?! I've made 10 tandem flights before, but not off of a mountainside like this!

Wow! It looks like fun, but I would definitely be too chicken to try something like that.

15 hands up is just fine for me. JB, aren't you getting to the age you gotta start worrying about breaking stuff, like hips & such?? I jumped out of an airplane once (skydiving), next time I do that, the plane will have to be on fire!!!

Yes, I do need to think about injuries more now than when I was younger. But hang gliding has come a long ways. It can be done relatively safely, especially if one is willing to take off and land from a regular, flat airport.
I made one parachute jump, too. I doubt I'll go again, but it sure was fun. I saw that HF mentioned that he was a very experience skydiver. He's probably got 1,000 jumps or more in his logbook.

Fun???? More like terrifying. The fun part was when my boots hit the ground! HF doesn't count, farriers are strange folks anyways. 1000 jumps, how many clean pairs of underwear can one man own???;)

The first President Bush is still jumping out of planes at 80 something years old. (maybe older). I saw him Jump while I was at Texas A&M my senior year. So old people can jump!

What else do they have to live for???????:p Actually George Bush's parachute skills saved his life when he was shot down in WW2. Props to George!

The second jump was the scariest :) ....after that...some the the most fun I ever had in my life. As it turns out, after all the years of skydiving...the 2 instructors who taught me the most about skydiving and safety both died in skydiving accidents.
