this is the e-mail he send to me about him
"Hi Veronica I can send picks tomorrow my son does that for me. Pompeii was foaled may 15 1999, he is double registered, American quarter horse and Foundation quarter horse. I can tell you what Amy , the lady that bought him as a 4year old said. He can take his leads and has a nice smooth lope. This horse is very sensitive to the rider. At a lope, he will come to a sliding stop if the rider sits back in the saddle. He will go from a walk to a lope by leaning forward in the saddle. As a 2year old she brought him to the colt training course at the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. After five days of intensive training he had a real good start, he did not buck with the saddle or rider as a young horse in training. He went to a professional trainer for 60 days as a 4 yer old for finishing. On the ground he has good manners. he will keep out of your space and move away from you as you swing the end of the the lead rope or walk toward his hip. He will follow you without a lead rope and hook on as you move around the arena.
I rode him last year a few times in the fields around the house and he was real good. Amy and her daughter only used him for trail riding. My sister also used him for trail riding. I can send picks and more info tomorrow. Thank you for your interest Scott "
he hasn't been ridden now in about a year... he wants 1500 but i think i could offer him less....
