Hmmmm.... . I'm so no good with names. You could call him Texas. lol. (Tex) but that seems like a very big name for such a small pup. K. I'll think and come back with more. I like Rez, or Rezi but and I've never met a dog named Rescue. Lol. I keep singing the Rescue Ranger song in my head. You could call him Ranger. or Traveller, lol. He's moving across the country!!

He is so precious, he makes my heart melt. I needed to see this today, I'm just so worried about my Noah, at least this made me smile. I'm terrible with names. I'm sure you will find a good one. If we got a kitty without a name we were going to name it Scout but Molly came with Molly. She looks like a Molly more than a Scout. Maybe once you meet him a name will come to you that's perfect for him.

Traveler is to long I think. Any other type names for moving, transferring, ect.
I like, so far
Rez
Rezi
Ranger
I almost put Ruffus in there...no, cant do that. Hes in the grave in the dog kennel, watching out over the others.

I'm no good with names, either, lol! I do know that sometimes you almost have to actually have the critter for a few days before the right name comes to you.

I never thought about naming a rescue Rescue! It's cute! When I was younger we found a GSD and we named her Lost and Found and called her Ellen "L-n-F" get it LOL.............she lost her home but found her forever home with us.
If you do name him Rescue you will get alot of people say......that is a weird name what's his story behind the name! LOL..........

I think you should name his Ferdy lol. He's so "ferocious" lol so Ferdy would be cute. Or you could play off his Racoon Noise and call him Cooner

Lewis? Or Clark? They traveled quite a bit. Or how about Chisholm "Chis" for short cause he's going to travel quite a bit of the Chisholm trail. (went from Houston to Ok. City, then northward. . .

Well it'd be funny if you pick Chis cause we actually live like 1/4 mile from where the trail passed through here. So he'd travel around 1/2 of the whole trail in the weekend he moves!

Hey Vickie not sure on names but he sure is cute. Its a good thing you all are to far from me or I just might have stolen him. :) It takes me forever to name my critters. :) Thought I would share a couple pictures of my Mini Schnauzer Grady with you and a couple of my daughters Mini Fancy. Hers is salt and pepper color.
This is Grady. He is not spoiled nor rule me naw LOL !! He had a white spot on his chest but it has faded away with age.

Your welcome and thank you :) My little guy was like yours when he was young he loved to growl all the time when playing. I think your little guy looks a lot like Fancy in her baby pic just different color.
Thanks GR :)

Only 7 days till we get this train on the road!!! Whoo hoo!
vicklynn
11-08-2008, 07:55 PM
Yup, 7, how cool! Acutally, the train starts in 5 days, not counting tonight!! Ends in 7 days!! Whoop whoop.
I moved the doggy stuff around, lowered one of the feeders, well, for when the puppy grows up. He will be eating out of a small dish for awhile. I need to get him a sweater, hes so small and its soooo cold. Dont want him freezing when he goes potty.

Oh there's Grady!!!!!!! How cute is he and his little friend [Would she be his neice?] Miss Fancy???? I want to kidnap all of them including Vicklynn's new little buckaroo. A puppy in a sweater will be just adorable! I know you can't wait to get him, counting the seconds!
Noah thinks they are all cute but doesn't want them in his house!!!!! If he did he would have had a Grady look alike sister or brother a long time ago like the day after I first saw Grady because since Grady is too far away to come for visits. That face makes me smile every time I see it now I'll see him, Miss Fancy and the little puppy who needs a name!

I have a hard time with naming pets, too. It usually takes me a while to get to know them before I come up with a name. And all our pets' names have stories behind them.
I started searching Japanese names for Kabota, since it has been suggested he may be part Akita and the more I researched the more I agreed. When he was a clumsy pup running through the house, it sounded like a tractor was in the house.........Kubota=tractor, but I spelled it wrong and it ended up be Kabota! I like it though, a friend of ours is part Japanese and he told me he thought Kabota meant meadow.
Check out some breed sights, they usually have name ideas.

Aw but Rum, you missed it my dear. Puppy has a name now, its Tex, and it soooo fits him, in every way.
