So Wednesday night I had a group lesson with my friend Eliana. She rode one of my trainers horses peneolope and I rode another one of my trainers horses Pippin[ the one in shynbvs siggy and avatar] Both of them love to jump so we had a jumping lesson. First we jumped some cross rails and verticals on weird angles to work on getting good lines to the fence. after we did a one stride which was pretty fun, We started small like 18 inches then the second jump was moved up to 2 ft. After we did the one stride we jumped the barrels. It was my second time ever jumping the barrels, and of course Pippin was amazing as always. It was both Penelope and Eliana's first time jumping barrels. At first Penelope didnt want to go over them but after the first few times she didn't mind it anymore. After we did the Barrels we did a small course the cross rail to the line to the barrels. Pippin usually always canters after a fence so there were a few times I missed my turn cause we weren't slowing down. After the minature course we walked for a little bit. I thought our lesson was over because Hillary started to pick up the jump standards I was wrong! Hillary[my trainer] set up a hogs back! It was so much fun. The pole in the middle was up to 2ft. I was a little bit nervous because my position had been a little off and my lines weren't the greatest that night. But then I jumped it and wanted to keep doing it! We did that a few times and then our lesson was over. Over all it was probally one of the better lessons i've had in a while, because lately i've been riding Blue to prepare for the 3 phase that we had 2 weekends ago and he doesn't love to jump so we kept the jumps small. I love riding Pippin not only because she likes to jump but since I don't have to worry so much about her getting over the jump I can focus a little bit more on my position!
