View Full Version : uuhg..School issues.
So I have been having issues with school, I hate to talk about this but I need to get it off my chest. I am afraid I am going to fail again..*Sigh* This will be my third time.
No one thinks I try but to tell you the truth I do.. I try really hard. It is so hard for me to focus.. Even my parents have given up on me. My father use to wake me up every morning, and take me to school, well not any more. I haven't been to school in a week. The bus no longer comes down to my house, and my mom just said whatever you need to just drop out. I miss a day or two every week..Home schooling is not an option. When ever I do go to school the teachers fuss at me and send me to in school detention with tons of make-up work. They say if I don't get it together they will kick me out of school. I just don't know what to do. I am so far behind there is no way I could catch up. Next year I would have suppose to been in the 12th grade. But I will be in the nineth..*Sigh* I think I should just drop out.. But what will I do with my life.. I hate growing up.

wow, well, is cyberschooling an option? Its free, and they have teachers and everything.

There are other alternatives also. You could always work on a GED. From what I understand you can work at your own pace (someone else will have to help me out with that one). Have you been tested for ADHD or Dyslexia? These would all affect your concentration level and there is assistace available.

have you been to the doctor? Maybe you need some help outside the home. If you were my student I would be very upset with you as well. :/ When you do go to school do you ask the teachers if you can stay after school to try to catch up? Do you speak with the principal? How come you are having trouble wakeing up? If I didn't show up to school for a week the school would have been calling non stop. Can you go to a different school maybe? Is it the environment or what? Don't give up. School is the easiest thing in life you need to get it right...You'll never be able to keep a job like that ...I know all of this sounds harsh but i'm just giving you tough love. I hope that you answer some of my questions and maybe I can help you out.

Why don't you go to school or why are you missing so much? Also what state do you live in? As Torie mentioned, cyberschooling could be an option. Please don't drop out and if you ever need to vent, you can always PM/IM me. =)
I don't know if you have instant messengers, but if you do, here are my screenames:
AIM - lushponylove

Yahoo - caitlinlovescloe
I don't care if anybody gets that information, which is why I don't mind posting it publicly, lol.

I don't mean to give you a hard time, LoveMyMustang, but I'm with Shadyhill. Unless you are ill, you shouldn't be missing school.
We all just want to see you succeed. You're smart enough to get through high school, no doubt. This shows clearly in your posts.
You must at least earn a high school education or GED. Even that is the absolute bare minimum these days.
Please don't drop out. I agree, work for your GED. One of my friends (she's our age) has already gotten her GED...not sure how though, just look it up online and you should be able to find it. I'll look in a few minutes. :)
