I know some of us get really busy and forget to inspect our tack. So this is just a reminder to go out and give your saddle and bridles a good look to make sure everything is still secure, no tears or loose chicago screws or worn leather. Just do a good safety check as you don't want your tack falling apart while you are riding. ;)
A friend of mine was saddling her horse this past Saturday before the barrel race. All of a sudden we heard a thud and she was on the ground. Turned out that her cinch was old and it snapped. Luckliy it snapped while she was on the ground tightening the cinch or it could have been a bad wreck.
I just checked all 3 of my saddles and all my bridles the other day while I was cleaning out my trailer.
So PLEASE take some time and check your tack!! :D
