Update on Myst

On the way home from work I called my vets office, they wanted to see her. I then got home and WOW, what a different horse!!!
She was trotting around, head up, eyes alert, just feeling good!
I went and checked her belly swelling, and although there is still some there, it is less, gone in one area! I called the vets office back and told them the news. Happy to hear that, they let me know they were open tomorrow until noon just in case. I will continue on with the Calamine lotion and Benadryl.
I walked back out with treats, Myst perked her head up from where she was resting in the shade, and walked up to me(I call her fast walk her power walk cause of the way she moves)thats how she came up!
So, although were not out of the woods 100%, there is improvement and the vet has been notified.

Glad to hear that she is doing better:) I LOVE benadryl and calamine lotion. Used this many of times for all the animals (and humans LOL)

Dosed her up tonight and put more Calamine lotion on.
If I dont see much more improvement by Monday, I have Oliver scheduled in for his baby shots, but Ill take Myst instead.

The lotion is Calamine, the Benadryl is a pill form.

UPDATE ON HER UPDATE!!:clap:

Myst is doing VERY well. I went and checked her when I came home, but didnt want to update until after meds, lotion, and feeding.
She has barely any small bumps on her and her belly swelling is almost gone!
The one she had behind her shoulder at her girth area, GONE!
The ones between her mid belly and teats, GONE!
She still has one, but it is 3/4 smaller than it started at, so here is hoping a few more days and she will be off the meds, lotion.
She is such a trooper with her meds.
I make a thick puree of carrots, apples and water. I put her RB in her bowl, make an indent, put the pills in, top with puree, and she gobbles it up.
The first 2 days, messing with her belly was NOT a happy time for her. Ears back, threatening to bite, kicking Tex(which is so NOT like her), but after those first 2 days, she has had no issue with it.
Seems like it has been forever and I know it hasnt.
Between that and her bridle, I havent riden in a week.

I was going to start with 10 AM and PM but she seemed doped a little(could of just been her not feeling well)on the first 10, so it is 9 and 8, 17 total a day.

Its measured by weight. PS helped me with that part. Id of had NO clue.
