I am thinking of doing this with Cutter as a possibility. I enjoy trail riding just as much as she likes being out on them. I normally ride Cinnamon on the trails but I want to compete and show. So now I need to switch gears and go with what suits Cutter best. She is amazing on the trails. The first trail ride I ever took her on was 18 miles around a lake at Dale Hollow. Now granted I did not do the whole 18 miles with her she was just broke like 2 months before that ride.
I absolutely enjoyed our first ride on the trail. Her and I are relaxed and in sync together when we are out there. In the show ring either both of us are out of sync due to nerves or we got it, but on the trails we are in sync a 100% of the time.

We're going to try it this fall. Six of my friends just did it and loved it!!!!

That is great Buckpoco. I wish I knew of friends that did this. I don't even know where to go practice. I don't have slicker so can't do that obstacle and the mailbox she won't get near the road. I am wondering though what do they mean about grabbing a hat.

Are there ever any events say in Minnisota or Noth Dakota? I'd love to come over and see how things are done there. Anyone have any experience getting horses over the boarder?
