"Let me say that unemployment insurance -- we talk about it as a safety net and the rest -- this is one of the biggest stimuluses (sic) to our economy. Economists will tell you, this money is spent quickly. It injects demand into the economy, and it's job creating. It creates jobs faster than almost any other initiative you can name; because, again, it is money that is needed for families to survive and it is spent. So it has a double benefit. It helps those who have lost their jobs but it also is a job-creator."

It is just amazing how this total waste of existence ever got elected. What she is saying is, taking money out of the private sector (that's what unemployment insurance is....it's from taxes) and then turning around and putting it BACK into the private sector(minus taxes taken from it) is no stimulus at all...there is no positive growth in that formula........if so, then why even work at all????? Why not have EVERYONE collect unemployment insurance, and we can then cure the economy, right ?:rolleyes:

This is off that subject, but wanted to mention that Nancy Pelosi's office space in California costs taxpayers over $18,000 per MONTH.

STUPID, STUPID, STUPID. Did she EVER look into cause and effect??? Did she ever study history?
Does she have any understanding of economics or human nature???

is no stimulus at all...there is no positive Don't you mean she's saying it is a stimulus & is good for growth, not that it is not?
I heard her say it was the best way to get the economy going.
Either way she is crazy if she thinks it is a good thing. Amazing how some people will believe her, mostly those on the collecting end.

It's industrial-strength, field grade stupid.

But's it's not that she's that stupid. That's how stupid she thinks WE are.

She actually believes that people will believe her when she vomits up that sort of nonsense.

Seems like plenty do.
