It sure has been a rough couple of weeks.

My hubby started a new business with a big building lease payment and we should have prepped for marketing beforehand. So, we've been swamped with getting things organized on the fly and not making much because we didn't get our name out in advance. The lease was a surprise, though, so it's not totally our fault! It was an excellent building that we had commented on wanting and then I drove by one day and saw the "for lease" sign in the window. So, it's all my fault... which doesn't make it any easier!

My 4yo son broke his arm going down a 4 foot soft-slide at the mall 1.5 weeks ago. How do you even do that? I can see falling off a real slide, but just swooping down a few feet and twisting it wrong? Argh. At least it is just a "nondisplaced fracture above the right elbow" and healing well. We're supposed to get the splint off in 2 weeks now.

July found a new adopted home up in the mountains. I made this decision myself and I think that it was the right one, but I am still very sad to see her go. She is such a good girl! I will do a detailed post on this when I get a chance because it means so much to me.

My 2yo has started getting sick (a cold, probably) and been a miserable grump for 2 days - RIGHT when I need him to be his mellow self so I can get all my work for the business done! It is hard enough to stay up late late each night working without waking up to wailing the first thing early every morning. This morning I got up at 1:45am and 2am to put him back to bed; and he STILL got up crying at 6am! Sigh.

So, how is your month going? :p

Wow. It does sound like things have been rough for you. Hopefully once you guys get organized things will run smoothly from here on out.

And hopefully your 2 yr old has a little bug that is over soon. I know how crabby 2 yr olds operate, and it's NOT FUN!

My month has been busy and alright. Nothing great or grand in either direction.

Good luck with the two weeks to come! .... my last two weeks have been simpler than all that!

Will be looking for an update.
Hope your son heals soon.
Glad you found July a good home.

Yikes! You've been busy; I hope everyone starts feeling better, pronto! Congrats with the business, I'm sure you'll have it up and running perfectly in no time flat (but I will say a prayer for you ;))! I'm glad you found July a new home, that's great.

My plate's pretty full too, but I handed the equestrian club off to two other girls (because I seriously do NOT have time for it this semester) and they're doing great with it... and now I have more time for my horses! :)

Sick right now with bronchitis and must get better as I have ankle surgery scheduled for 10/31. I will be on cruthes for over a month so I have to make sure I have enough hay and grain etc and other stuff. Thank goodness I have some to take over the place for a month while I heal. Hope your load gets lighter.

Youch, SteelH! I'm so glad that he didn't break his leg - that would have been a royal pain in the rear trying to keep him calm and on crutches! As it is, we went to a friend's house today and he was climbing their tree in his splint... sheesh. Boys.

Thanks everyone! Life feels a little better just from getting things off my chest :) I also actually got a whole bunch done today, too, which makes me feel much less stressed. By tomorrow I should be ready just to sit back and wait for the various people to do their jobs getting their parts ready. Shew.
